Candidate Barracks (#828RA)

Nestled within the rolling hills of GreyStone lies the possible future of dragon riders to come. Cramped while a clutch rests on the Sands, dozens upon dozens of tidy, and not so tidy, cots are tightly pressed into every possible space. Clothespresses rest nearby, as do the occasional odd belonging -- a boot, a tunic, a forgotten flitter or two. It represents the best of times for some and the worst for others, but no matter how the occupants may feel, until Hatching time occurs, it is home.

Britney glances over to Daniyah, "How you doing?"

 Daniyah looks up from where she has been sitting quietly on her cot. "Doing good, you?"

 Britney smiles, "Nervous...I wonder when the hatching will be..."

 Daniyah nods. "Me too."

 Nikon is now tossing his stuffed dragon (which Shivara got down for him) in order to keep from pacing again.

 A slight sound is heard, slowly picking up volume. In a few minutes a thrum is heard throughout the whole aerie.

 Rienna looks over at Britney and Daniyah. "Me three!"

 Shivara looks up at Britney, "When you hear the humming, that's when." She chuckles, "So...." She jumps up. "Now?"

 Daniyah looks up, paling. "NOW?"

 Rienna jumps up out of bed, all blood draining from her face. "/Now? /"

 Ronia comes running in, eyes wide. "Everyone, into your robes...NOW!" she says, looking to make sure everyone is here.

 Kendra nods "Now."

 Zelak jumps up, yep, he's awake. "Now?" It's a high-pitched squeak, "Not now."

 Kendra stands already in her robe.

 Irikan glances up quickly at the humming. He doesn't waste precious time in panic, instead calmly heading to obtain his robe and start getting ready.

 Britney looks over to Daniyah, "Did you hear that it's them!!" She jumps up and goes behind the curtain grabbing her robe and getting properly dressed and into her sandals. She knows the procedure from her mother. She goes over as quickly as she can to Ronia, "Daniyah, come out with me."

 Daniyah grabs her robe off her cot. She strips down and puts it on, not worrying about modesty. Can't do that at this point. Nope. No time!

 Rienna shucks her clothes, and grabs her robe from where it lay, pulling it on.

 Ronia stands waiting, and then frowns. "Hurry it up people! NOW NOW NOW!"

 Sareri gasps, jumping off the bed, almost stumbling out of her cot. She grabs her robe, and quickly proceeds to get it on.

 M'att chuckles at the sudden activity. "Still tired Zelak?" he calls out, laughing.

 Nikon tries to leap out of bed, nearly trips, stumbles on his blankets, before eventually ending on the floor, "N-n-n-now?? " He stumbles for his robe... that takes a while since he's still slightly tangled in his blanket…

 Ronia smiles at M'att, then frowns at the gogglers. "Don't sit staring, up and moving!"

 Rienna ties on her sandals, and starts working on getting her hair back into a braid. "Aiaiaiaiai!"

 Zelak shakes his head, "Nossir." Another squeak, he's shutting up now.

 Britney fixes her hair calmly as she looks to Ronia and stands waiting, "Hurry Daniyah, I want you to stand with me. Here take my hand if you need it."

 Daniyah pulls on the double-stacked sandals she made, tying them to her feet. She pulls her hair back in silver and black ribbons to keep it out of her eyes.

 Sareri shucks her boots and puts on her black sandals, pulling back her blondish locks into a braid before looking around nervously.

 Tadhc blinks slightly and springs neatly from his bed and begins moving quickly without saying a word. Oh well. So his robe still looks nasty. Hey he's not a weaver.

 Shivara jumps up and grabs Zeal’s hand, "C'mon, walk out with me." Not an order but a request, "I am not going out there alone."

 Ronia claps her hands, brows furrowed. "Line up behind me, everyone." she says in a commanding voice.

 Rienna looks around desperately, trying to find someone to cling to. Finally she gives up and runs over to stand behind Ronia.

 Daniyah moves over, taking Britney's hand. She gulps, her eyes wide. She moves with Britney to line up behind Ronia.

 Kendra lines up behind Ronia.

 Sareri scrambles across the room as she finishes dressing and lines up behind Ronia.

 M'att goes on ahead of everyone else, wanting to be with his bondmate. He pauses long enough to squeeze Sareri's arm.

 M'att has left.

 Zelak lines up behind Ronia, Shivara leading the way, and tugs on his robe as he walks.

 Irikan slips into his robe, pulls on his sandals and straightens his hair, what he can of it. Then he heads over to take a spot in line, standing ramrod straight and sombre of face.

 Ronia has left.

 Britney is already lined up behind Ronia as she takes Daniyah's hand, she glances to her fellow candidate with a smile, "Its time..." She stands behind Ronia.

 Tadhc goes towards the back of the line. Well who'd have thought the lad was /this/ thin. One could /swear/ that was bones visible through those holes.

 Nikon slips his robe on, and then searches for his sandals, which are now currently hidden under his blanket. Takes a few minutes, before he find them. "Hey Tadhc...I'm gonna stand next ta ya. Ok??"

 Rienna has left.

 Shivara is finished tugging on her robe, though her sandals aren't completely on, "Oh my...this is exciting..."

 Ronia enters from the hills outside.

 Ronia has arrived.

 Tadhc shrugs slightly,” You can, I guess." He seems to be distracted by the sound of the dragons' humming.

 Ronia says, "We're going, you coming or gonna stay here? Outside now!""

 Ronia has left.

 Ronia turns and flutters her hands. "In groups of two!" she barks.

 Britney nods to Ronia.

 Nikon gets near Tadhc.

 Britney looks to Daniyah nervously.

 Daniyah shifts nervously from foot to foot. Already she's doing the Candidate Dance. She looks back at Britney. "We're going to be okay. I just know it. We have to be. Still too much to do."

 Shivara grasps Zelak's hand and gives it a light squeeze, "Good luck." She whispers.

 Rienna nods nervously and walks over to Sareri. "Would you like to stand together?" she mutters softly.

 Sareri looks around nervously as she takes her place in line.

 Zelak nods and grins. "You too."

 Ronia says "Britney, Daniyah, OUT."

 Daniyah has left.

 Britney has left.

 Sareri nods and smiles nervously at Rienna.

 Ronia says "Zelak, Shiv, OUT"

 Shivara has left.

 Zelak has left.

 Ronia says "Sareri, Rienna, OUT!"

 On the hatching sands,

 Rienna has arrived.

 Sareri saunters onto the sands, her robe floating around her as she walks nervously. She looks around quietly, looking for a certain face, before silently looking towards the Golds and the respective sires as well as their bondmates. Sari comes to a stop and bows respectfully, thanking them for allowing her on the sands. Sari's cautiously begins walking again, her nervous steps slowly brings her across the sands to stand next to the other candidates.

 Rienna walks slowly out onto the sands and turns to bow deeply to the Golds, sires, and riders. She quickly walks over to the semicircle, shooting nervous glances between the eggs and the Galleries.

 Nikon has arrived.

 D'lan watches with a big smile as the candidates pour in, "Such a splendid event."

 Tadhc has arrived.

 Nikon walks onto the sands and looks very, very nervous. He's so excited; he actually looks ready to explode with energy. He bows to the gold dragons and the bronze dragons, then to their riders. He looks at the eggs and then back to the dragons…did he bow to them already?? He can't remember. So he bows again to the dragons and their riders...and looks again.

 Blue eyes flash brilliantly as Tadhc steps onto the sands a sort of tenseness that comes with excitement. With a bow to the bronzes and the Golds, Tadhc starts moving towards the semicircle nudging Nikon as he does.

 Irikan has arrived.

 Kendra has arrived.

 Ronia has arrived.

 Irikan marches onto the sands with stern face and straight back. He bestows a formal bow to both pairs of gold and bronze, and then turns to give an equally formal bow to the riders. This accomplished, he moves quickly to his position with a minimum of fuss and takes up his place in the semicircle.

 Ronia follows the candidates out, standing tall and looking proud. She stands by the entrance, watching the sands carefully now.

 Winding Yellow Ribbon Egg shivers quite suddenly and produces a loud cracking sound.

 Kendra bows deeply to the Golds, the sires and their respective bondmates before proceeding further onto the sands taking her place in the semicircle surrounding the eggs.

 Britney glances about the sands at the eggs in awe and wonder not like at the egg touchings...this is for real...it's finally happening and Britney's part of it, she squeezes Daniyah's hand lightly as she glances over to the Golds protecting the eggs and watches as her fellow candidates come in. She shifts her feet quietly as she feels the warmth more so now than before...maybe its cause of her nervousness. Her eyes drift to the Winding Yellow Ribbon Egg as she hears a crack and then it sinks in. It's more real than she thought.

 Shivara squares her shoulders and surveys the sands, watching as the egg begins to crack open, "Now it's time." She whispers to herself and watching with an excited expression. Her feet move just once before she stops the action and stands steadily, despite the heat.

 Swirling Red Egg begins to wiggle a bit.

 Rienna grabs Sareri's hand nervously, and watches the Winding Yellow Ribbon Egg in anticipation, before glancing to Swirling Red Egg. "I wonder which will hatch first," she mutters to herself.

 Daniyah looks quite nervous, her eyes wide. She looks over at Gwyndyn and D'lan. Shifting a bit from foot to foot, though she is finding the sandals a bit more comfortable this time.

 Zelak nods and watches with wide eyes, "Another is moving." He squeaks, unable to control his voice, "I wonder how long it will take."

 Sareri looks around as she hears a cracking sound, spotting the wiggling eggs; she nervously clutches Rienna's hand. " I don't know…"

 Nikon moves completely to his spot. Stand still?? That seems to be something he can't really do, either from nervousness or the heat of the sands, or perhaps both. He watches the eggs start to move and rock.

 Kendra glances between the two eggs, watching....

 Winding Yellow Ribbon Egg begins to rock more quickly, back and forth, back and forth. Finally it rolls out of its shallow depression and into Swirling Red Egg.

 Blue eyes lock now onto the eggs as Tadhc shifts his weight from foot to foot. His voice is cheery and rather higher than normal as he manages, "It begins...This is going to be /fun/!" Is he nervous? Can't tell. He's not standing still, which could either be nerves, hyper ness, or the fact the sands could be toasting him.

 Britney glances over to Daniyah with a smile...oh another one moves. Britney smiles as she looks to the others, her nerves slightly abated remembering past hatchings she's watched. She glances to the galleries for her family and smiles as she sees them. A glow of pride is on the young healer candidate's face as she stands representing her family and craft.

 Irikan waits patiently, though tension is clearly visible on his face. He shifts his feet to cool them, and allows his gaze to trail across the clutches, eyeing especially those eggs showing movement.

 Swirling Red Egg almost seems to jump as its bumped by its neighbour. A myriad of tiny cracks begin to appear on the shell's surface.

 Winding Yellow Ribbon Egg shudders violently now, the surface cracking visibly.

 Shivara shrugs, "I don't know but, they're moving." Of course, everyone can see that. "This is so exciting." The Harper smiles, "So much action at once...Look, it's cracking."

 Daniyah turns, catching the one egg roll into the other. She bites on her bottom lip, her hand still gripping Britney's. Her free hand now grips at the seam on the side of her robe. "Oh...here we go! I wonder what color will be first."

 Rienna gasps as the eggs movements get faster. "It's going to have to crack soon," she says watching the Swirling Red Egg get whacked.

 Nikon grins at Tadhc, "Soon…soon. Anytime now!! Shells and scorch it!! This is it…really really it!!"

 Kendra smiles as cracks appear on two eggs almost at once.

 Sareri nods quickly, mumbling softly" I hope its not hurt."

 Tadhc giggles and manages to stay in one spot even if not stand still, "Yeah! I can't /wait/. I wonder who'll impress first!"

 Swirling Red Egg bounces away from the other moving egg and hits the ground, a large crack splitting it, but revealing no hint of the dragon inside.

 Winding Yellow Ribbon Egg cracks even more, a claw appearing through one. It disappears again, but the eggs shudder even harder now.

 Zelak swallows hard and then looks between the two eggs, his face carrying a mixture of nervousness and excitement, "I hope they open soon." His voice is a trembling mixture of pitches, "I want to see."

 Britney watches the Winding Yellow Ribbon Egg intently wondering if she will be right with her guess of its color, she clutches her free hand together her knuckles whitening as she smiles glancing at the Swirling Red Egg, "It's going to be close which hatches first I guess. I wonder what color they'll be..." She grins to her partner shifting her feet, shuffling back and forth as if in a chorus line of some sort. She looks in shock as she watches the Swirling Red Egg get knocked away and a claw appear in the other..."Oh."

 Rienna bites her lip, now staring at the Winding Yellow Ribbon Egg. "Was it just me, or did you see the claw too?"

 Irikan swallows, his eyes now glued to the active eggs. "Strong." He mutters to himself. He glances to his side where Kendra is standing and she gets a nod, before he turns back to watch the two struggling eggs.

 Kendra says, "It didn't stay out long enough to guess at color though."

 Winding Yellow Ribbon Egg cracks wide open and out stumbles Fuzzy Cowardly Bronze Hatchling.

 Sareri nods quickly, " I saw it, didn't see a color though. "

Fuzzy would this bronze be, one would think, if dragons had such thing as fur. Instead, the hide of this bronzen fellow is brushed with overlaying tones of shiny, dark golden browns, ambers, and, of course, bright streaks of metallic bronze. Each color seems to be bolder in certain lights, and at all times all three colors are present. On his large head and his wings are the only differences in color. A soft, ivory white are both, as if to show a more cowardly side beneath all of that 'fuzz'. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 Shivara oohs softly, "Look...it's a claw can't see much else though." She sighs, "Come on...come out..." The Brown is spotted and she grins broadly, "I just knew it."

 Ronia smiles and mumbles quietly, "Bronze, good sign..."

 Daniyah looks over at Rienna, "You saw it too? Good! It wasn’t just my imagination running away with me." She seems to relax a little. She oooooohs! "A Bronze! Look at him!" she does a double take, "he isn't fuzzy, is he?"

 Rienna ohs, her eyes widening farther then thought possible. "Oh. My. It's beautiful!"

 Starlight, Starbright Egg starts to move a little.

 Kendra smiles "He's a cutie."

 Tadhc's eyes lock onto the Bronze everything else forgotten, "A Bronze!" It escapes his lips in an almost horse-whisper…"Wonder who'll impress him..."

 Zelak shakes his head, "Bronze, it's a Bronze…he's beautiful." He manages to keep his voice moderately steady, "That's a good sign."

 Britney eyes open wide...an omen, a good one at that she smiles and cries out, "A Bronze, this is going to be a good hatching!!" She smiles to Daniyah. She looks at the Bronze with a smile. "Oh he's a handsome one." Her eyes drift to the Starlight Starbright Egg and grins, "Hey look that one's starting to move.

 Fuzzy Cowardly Bronze Hatchling rolls from his egg, getting to his feet clumsily. A bugle of unhappiness is sent, and then he spots the candidates. He stops a moment, and then quickly hides behind another egg, crooning to his sire.

 Rienna keeps her eyes on the Bronze, hardly noticing the Starlight, Starbright Egg. "He couldn't be fuzzy, could he?"

 Nikon grins at Tadhc and give him a light hit on the shoulder, "It's a bronze!! Look at him!! Hehehehe!!" he nudges now, "Could be you or Zelak…Betcha Zelak!!"

 Sareri gasps softly as the Bronze stumbles out onto the sands, clutching Rienna's hand and squeezing it a bit. Sari's gaze wanders across the sands towards M'att and smiles.

 Shivara shakes her head, "Bronze he is, and wonderful...it'll be a lucky boy who gets him." The hatchling is given an admiring look, "He's completely cute."

 Swirling Red Egg's seems impatient to join its brother and quickly makes its entrance into the world.

 Swirling Red Egg cracks wide open and out stumbles Fog Enshrouded Green Hatchling.

 Mist covered green turns emerald to moss as colors seem to appear and disappear amidst cloudy patches of the lighter color. Delicacy mars her muzzle, keeping it small and speckled with foggy mists, which seem to vanish, letting the primary green return in patches down her neck. Two round, matching ovoids glow against the misty fog, bright against the light color, and colored in a never clear mish-mash of hues and shades. Emerald deepens as it floats down fragile legs and lightens over sides tinged with a hint of sunny gold. Wraiths of shadows turn rainbow's colors dancing about the foggy hide and over highest wings, most visible over nearly transparent wingsails

 Tadhc giggles slightly at Nikon, "Who /cares/ whether it's me or Zelak? I just hope /one/ of us impresses!"

 Irikan chuckles softly. "Poor little guy. What you so scared of?" Though he keeps an eye on the other eggs, as he should, most of his attention seems to be directed at watching the two hatchings present on the sands. "Bronze and Green."

 Kendra oooohhs as the Green tumbles from her shell "She's lovely"

 Rienna's eye is caught as the other egg cracks open. She jerks her head over and stares in wonder at the Green. "She's gorgeous! Isn't she Sari?"

 Shivara grins, "Now, she's a sight, look at that color." She beams, "And another guess that is right...wonder about the others."

 Daniyah is looking around the eggs and at the croon he looks back. She blinks, trying to find him now. She shakes her head and looks just in time to see a Green emerge from another egg. "Ooh! She's gorgeous! Look at her!" She doesn't seem as interested in the Bronze, but then again, she's a female and she knows she'd never befriend the Bronze.

 Britney glances as she looks in complete awe as she sees the Swirling Red Egg turn into a beautiful Green hatchling...definitely not what she expected out of that egg, but oh well she pokes Daniyah lightly, "Look at her, she's beautiful...oh what a great start to a hatching!"

 Fog Enshrouded Green Hatchling shakes her head, almost in confusion as she falls from her egg.

 Fuzzy Cowardly Bronze Hatchling looks about unhappily as his cover suddenly disappear. His sister in its place and nowhere near big enough to hide him, he slinks around her to another egg. His croon is confused, but hopeful to his sire.

 M'att smiles down at Sareri and comments quietly something about the impressive look of the Bronze.

 Sareri looks in the direction of the new egg and smiles. " Very pretty Rienna… "

 Zelak sighs, "Yes, she's pretty!" He agrees, "Wonder who she'll go to, but I have an idea." He fidgets just a bit, feet shuffling under him. "Hope they aren't as hot as we are."

 Tadhc's eyes look for the Bronze and as he appears and slinks off to the other eggs, "What /odd/ behaviour?" He doesn't manage to refrain from giggling slightly. Then again he rarely does.

 Starlight, Starbright Egg does a bounce, which lands it next to Starlit Phenomenon Egg.

 Nikon chuckles, "One of ya would...and look at that Green!! Both are so…so…WOW!!" he's literally dancing on the spot, looking like he's going to explode with energy. He does keep an eye out for hatching dragons.

 Kendra hides a smile as the Bronze hides behind another egg.

 Nazarell warbles to Fuzzy Cowardly Bronze Hatchling encouragingly. Nothing'll hurt you.

 Britney glances to Daniyah with a smile and it turns to worry as she sees the confused croon from the Bronze. "Oh...listen to him. I think he might be confused...come on little one you can do it, you can find the right person for you." She glances to the Starlight Starbright and watches it land next to the Starlit Phenomenon egg. "Wow this is so exciting!"

 Sareri says "Look at them bounce! WOW!" Sari looks around quickly at the eggs and the hatchlings that have yet to impress."

 Shivara almost winces as the two eggs collide, "Ooh...well, at least they're ready to come out." She notes, nodding in the direction of the two, "This is all happening so fast, I had no idea."

 Rienna hops a little, trying to cool her feet while switching her gaze from Bronze, to Green, to Starlight, Starbright Egg. "This is even more incredible then I had expected."

 Zelak grins, "It happens fast, yes it does." He intones, his voice breaking in more than a few places, "Just look at those two eggs!"

 Fuzzy Cowardly Bronze Hatchling hesitates a moment, then carefully steps from around his cover. Right in front of him are a gaggle of girls. It seems like forever before he bolts straight for them, trying to sound sure as he bugle mightily!

 Daniyah laughs a bit as she shifts feet yet again. "You know. I bet these eggs are hopping because they're realizing just how hot these sands are for the first /real/ time. What do you want to bet?" she asks as she watches the Bronze and grins at Nazarell warbles back. "You tell him Naz!" she calls to him. She looks back to the eggs.

 Tadhc's eyes don't pay attention to the Green. Just the Bronze. He stands still for a brief second before returning to shuffling back and forth trying to remain in his spot.

 Rienna looks at the Bronze in alarm as he charges. "Oh my, I don't think he was expecting to see us..."

 Britney grins to Daniyah, "I wouldn't be surprised. She looks to the Bronze as he darts for a group of girls and gets startled slightly at the bugle. She shuffles her feet even more...she glances to the green wondering what it'll do next.

 Sareri nods, looking towards the bouncing eggs, and EEEPS as the Bronze charges. " My that was close! "

 Shivara shuffles her feet slightly, as if unable to control the movement. Her eyes go from eggs to hatchlings and back again, "How many have cracked?" She asks, looking about once more, "I can't keep track."

 Fog Enshrouded Green Hatchling takes a hesitant step toward a large grouping of candidates.

 Nikon chuckles, "Hey little Bronze...those there are all girls ya know." He blushes at his own boldness.

 Starlight, Starbright Egg falls against its neighbour.

 Kendra smiles watching the Bronze go the wrong way for now, he'll find his way. She then turns to watch the Green and the other eggs.

 Tadhc is /not/ moving. He's slightly hypnotized you might say. Then again he's watched hatchings before so he knows running does nothing. Oh well keep watching is the best thing he can do, "Maybe he's getting a lead on his first flight?" He giggles slightly at that.

 Zelak shakes his head, "I don't know, a lot?" His eyes go back to the Green and he watches her move off, "She's heading somewhere."

 Fuzzy Cowardly Bronze Hatchling trips in his charge nose plowing into the hot sand.

His cries resound pitifully and a boy steps forward to help him up. The Bronze looks up and then croons happily. The boy grins and announces the dragon's name for all to hear!

 Britney watches as the Starlight falls against the Starlit egg and glances to the Bronze...yes of course they are girls, she looks as a pitiful cry echoes and a boy Impresses. She smiles and claps her one hand to her thigh with a bright gleam in her eyes.

 Kendra cheers the new pair.

 The War Within Egg rocks slightly, very slightly, in its depression.

Daniyah grins. "That's one down."

 An AWFM leads the newly Impressed pair away.

 Rienna cheers, and yells out, "Congratulations!" while shuffling her feet around.

 Irikan shakes his at the quick impression of the Bronze. His eyes return to the eggs, but he still keeps track of the Green standing still.

 Tadhc grins at the new pair and returns to watching the eggs. "A bunch left to go." His voice is still rather high with super charged emotions.

 Britney laughs at Daniyah's way of expressing that. Her glance is towards the three eggs moving and cracking. Which will hatch first and whom will that Green go for? Brit keeps her tight grip on her robe as she holds Daniyah's hand for reassurance. Maybe her nerves can't be calmed as easily.

 Shivara smiles at the new pair, nodding her congratulations and then watches, as they are lead away, "Good start." She sighs, "A very good start." Her eyes go back to the eggs and hatchlings, "They're all so beautiful, a clutch to be proud of."

 Fog Enshrouded Green Hatchling noses her way into the midst of the candidate group and inspects a few of the girls before turning to stare at an older boy.

 Starlight, Starbright Egg cracks wide open and out stumbles Whirling Dust-filled Funnel Brown Hatchling.

Ripples of light pass through the coppery wings of this dragon as he spreads them open, displaying them. His smooth skin is not marred by anything, to all outer appearances. But inside.... inside, the wind blows turbulently, threatening to whip up his calm composure with a violent storm of heat and fury. His dusted mocha hide glitters restlessly, brilliance hidden by dark, swirling winds, only to reappear once more, sending flashes of light down o'er-long neck and stunted body, curving down stubby tail. His glittering eyes let a tiny portion of his inner character leak out, a blazing fury erupting from seemingly nowhere to the outside, threatening to cause the crack which the winds will come through. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Britney smiles and claps both as a Brown hatches but the Green is with an older boy...impression? Could it be? Britney smiles warmly.

Rienna stares at the Green, wonderingly before catching a glimpse of the Brown that just came out. "Ohhhhh, look at that!"

Nikon grins and hears the new pair, "What do ya know…didn't see him over there!! Atta be!!" He still dances in spot…moving so much…the sands haven't a change yet to do more than warm his feet. He watches the Green still and the eggs. He then grins at the newly arrived Brown.

Zelak nods his agreement and keeps his eyes on the sands, watching the Green until a Brown emerges from its shell, "There's a Brown!" He points out, still shifting from foot to foot. "Just look at him."

Sareri cheers a bit at the newly impressed pair. not really catching whom it was. Sari looks towards the Green… though out of the corner of her eye she catches another dragon hatching. Sari turns her head and gasps as the Brown spills onto the sands.

Irikan blinks at the arrival of this Brown. "Now he's a handsome fellow!" There's some excitement audible in his voice and he begins to shift more on his feet. Either the heat or his nerves are getting to him.

Daniyah hears the call about the Brown and looks over. She whistles softly. "Oh my! He's a doll! Look at that coloring!"

Tadhc's eyes rest on the Brown for a second, before looking around again.

Kendra smiles as the Brown breaks shell then ahhhs, as she looks him over "Nice coloring on him."

Fog Enshrouded Green Hatchling stares into the eyes of the young man and Impression is made. The boy grins broadly as he leads her off the Sands toward the barracks.

The War Within Egg wobbles more violently now, pushing at the sand piles about it.

Whirling Dust-filled Funnel Brown Hatchling falls forward as the shell breaks. He gathers himself up and twirls around. Where am I? He sees the candidates and looks at them. Maybe they can tell me where I am.

Zelak smiles as the new pair is lead away, "Another one." His eyes go to the brown now and he watches it, "I wonder what he's waiting on?"

Britney claps with a smile for the recently Impressed Green and looks to the brown as she laughs, "He is cute. Look that other egg is shaking!" Britney shuffles her candidate shuffle...maybe a mambo would be more appropriate for this heat. A little to the left...a little step to the right...

Rienna smiles widely as the Brown hatchling twirls around, almost missing the Green's Impression. "How cute!"

Tadhc seems to be ignoring everything at the moment but the eggs. He's not really paying much attention even to those. His eyes do flicker fairly often to Lily...

Shivara grins, "I don't think he's quite gotten his bearings yet, it probably takes a moment, just coming out of the shell." She notes, her eyes scanning the sands, "He is a cute one, tough."

Nikon grins and cheers the impression between the Green and her new rider. "Two down and lots left. Oh...my…wonder what's up with that Brown. He's rather a handsome sort…"

Kendra smiles and shifts her feet a bit on the hot sands, seeing the Brown twirl around she hides a chuckle behind a hand.

Whirling Dust-filled Funnel Brown Hatchling Laugh at me! How dare you? He scans the candidates before him and makes his way for the semi circle. He stops by a group of boys looking at them. He shakes his head and moves on to another group.

The War Within Egg rolls onto its side, and then jumps a bit.

Irikan turns his head at the various comments coming from those around him. He seems to consider them, and then shakes his head. "You know the way, little one. I don't think he liked that laugh, Kendra."

Rienna watches the brown walking down the line with amusement. "I think we insulted him!"

Daniyah grins at Britney. "Which egg?" she asks as she looks over them. "There are several of them. She looks down at her robe, realizing she has now wrinkled it a bit where she has been gripping it. She looks back up and around. She spots the Brown moving along the line of people.

Kendra eeps softly and says to Irikan. "Didn't mean to upset him." she smiles towards the Brown.

Shivara take a deep breath and watches the action that is going on before her, her eyes darting to each face before looking back out toward the sands. "How many...?" Her head is given a shake, "No too many to count."

Britney glances to Daniyah, her eyes drifting to the two large golden orbs by the Golds before sweeping the sands with soft deep brown eyes, she glances to the Starlit and makes note it would probably hatch next. "That one over there next." She points to the Starlit one.

Tadhc's lips curl into a frown at Irikan's comment but he remains silent. The frown on his face makes evident what he thinks of Irikan’s comments.

The War Within Egg leans to one side, then the other, then back again. There is no more sound of cracking, though the egg is moving.

Zelak nods, "I'm not counting, I'm just watching." He chuckles, watching the hatchlings move about the sands and searching for their bondmates, "I wonder if anyone impresses who doesn't want too." The thought is given a laugh and he falls silent again.

Rienna looks between the Starlit and the War Within egg. "Either that one or this one," she agrees with Britney. "One or the other."

Daniyah points to the War Within Egg. "See, Britney? That one is moving quite a bit too! It could be that one that hatches next." Shift and lift, 2, 3, down and shift and lift, 2, 3...is what it looks to be for Dani's doing of the Candidate dance. She looks over at Rienna. "I guess we'll see momentarily, won't we?"

Kaila finally manages to pop herself out from behind a throng of candidates, though she still hides in the background. She tries, once again, to search frantically for someone to stand by, having barely noticed the brown thus far. Strange girl.

Whirling Dust-filled Funnel Brown Hatchling continues his scrutiny. He pauses by a boy from Grizzled Keep. His nose butts into the boy's leg; which almost topples the boy over. He looks down at the hatchling letting out an "Oh Querall! Of course!"

Britney looks curiously over to The War Within Egg and looks to Nikon, "Isn't that the egg you liked Nikon?" She points to the other egg that's rocking, "It's so hot here. It didn't feel as hot before." She wipes the sweat off her forehead and smiles as the Brown Impresses a boy from RedWood Harth and she smiles, "Congrats!"

Resplendent in his finery, from tapered nose to tail, the youthful dragon seemingly bears himself with more pride than any blue that has been seen before. Dark blue in hue, it's almost apparent the same shade coats the rest of his rich hide but defiant streaks of faint blue smoothly crisscross over his belly, making for a more interesting effect. Despite the overall singular colour, upon sharper more careful examination, fair violet-blues and near black shades nearly dance before one's eyes with the occasional burgundy coming into mind. This finery of shades fitting for even this princely lad, his size seemingly hints upon further growth and surely being the biggest male clutched... well, besides his bronze and brown clutch sibs that is! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 Nikon moves more, and if it's at all possible, seems to be more excited. The starlit one is moving, as is the war within. Oh look!! That little Brown has chosen someone!! Hurrah!!" He peers down the row of candidates to look at Shivara, "Yah...it sure is!!"

Since Irikan doesn't care what the others think, he doesn't notice Tadhc's frown. He does however notice the Brown impressing. "A good match, that one." And now his gaze shifts to the Blue and he chuckles.

Tadhc's eyes barely take in the recent impression but manage to say 'Congrats' before he returns to watching the eggs. "Ooooh a Blue. Nice colour.... I think..."

Gaseous Nebula Egg suddenly begins rocking wildly, its occupant eager to come out and see the world. Tiny cracks begin to appear all over its surface.

Shivara smiles at the new pair and then turns as a Blue is spilled from its egg, "Ooh, he's a pretty one, just look at that color." She sighs, "Wonder where he'll head."

Britney glances as she sees a blue tumble out and grins with a smile, "Oh he's handsome too isn't he?" She looks over to Nikon, "It's a handsome Blue." Her eyes watch the tiny cracks on the Gaseous Nebula Egg and grins. "Look Daniyah, that one looks close to ready as well."

Rienna cheers for the Brown's Impression, then looks at the new Blue. "That is wow. That is definite wow. He's so elegant looking!"

Kendra blinks as a Blue lands on the sands, "Oooo he's a handsome one."

Egotistical Princely Royal-Blue Hatchling shoves is way from the shatters of his egg, stopping to shake his head from side to side. Egg pieces go flying and soon little gook remains upon him. The Blue looks up and around, before giving a demanding bugle to his parents.

Daniyah releases her grip on Britney's hand long enough to clap for the boy from Grizzled Keep. She says to Britney, "Switch sides?" It's more of a question. She takes a step back to let Britney occupy her space and then she slips into where Britney was. She grasps Britney's other hand. Now her free hand grips at her robes. Wrinkling that side as well. She finds her parents in the Galleries again and gets a reassuring smile from her father. She looks over at the Gaseous Nebula and nods. "Oooh! Look at that Blue!" she exclaims when she notices him.

Sareri nods quietly, noticing the blue as it hatches, her eyes straying across the sands to the other rocking eggs. " Now, that is a pretty Blue." Sari comments to herself more than anyone else of course.

Kaila blinks at Gaseous Nebula, one of her favourite eggs. She continues to search for someone to stand by. She blinks softly at the Blue, tilting her head to the side. It's apparent that she's managed to squeeze her way into an open spot, providing for a better view.

Zelak grins, "Yep, he is, look at the size of him." He agrees, "Look at that shell go...broke it to pieces."

D'lan smiles as he watches on, "Great looking dragons. Don't you agree Gwyn?"

Fellowship Of The Eggs Egg wobbles briefly.

Gwyndyn nods to her Aerie Lord. "They're all splendid looking," she says with a proud smile.

Nikon laughs, "Look at him!! Shells!! Such color and his personality...hehehehe!!" He watches as eggshells fly, lucky the shells aren't anywhere close.

Gaseous Nebula Egg continues to rock rhythmically. Eventual it cracks into several pieces, the shards falling away from its occupant.

Bright, fiery orange flicks over the hide of this dragon against licks of dark smoky bronze. Over a muzzle that holds two wildly whirling eyes, hide starts out near white, turning to a hot yellow color just as it touches over forehead. Deepening to the heat of fire as it spreads over his neck in a brushfire pattern, flames encompassing the delicate angles, it shades into ash, sprinkles of soot sifting down to pile up over his belly, turning that nearly brownish black. The tips of his wings, held high over his smoky back, seem charred to a burnished bronze, stark against the hot flame covering his wingsails. He often flicks his tail a bit, as if to cool it off, as it trails back through ash and soot, brightening to fiery hot before it touches the tip with searing white.

Egotistical Princely Royal-Blue Hatchling now takes a step forward, head held high and proud. He gives a snort at the egg gook on his muzzle, just before a massive fit of sneezes overtakes him.

Tadhc giggles slightly snapped out of some sort of revelry as he looks at Nikon,” I’d have thought you'd prefer a shade a bit of green." Gee Tadhc not back? Ayup. He's here now. A soft ooooh escapes his lips as the Bronze hatches.

Britney glances over Daniyah's head, as she is the tallest of the pair as she laughs. Her eyes drift over to the Fellowship Egg and glances up to her mother with a smile of pride...it's returned as well from her mother to her. "Ooo, a Bronze again!!! Look Daniyah, he's handsome as well. Wonder who he'll choose?"

Rienna feels quite overwhelmed from everything, but still manages to keep an eye on the Blue and all the wobbling eggs. "Oh look! Another Bronze!" she sighs. "He's beautiful too."

Kendra wows at the Bronze and smiles at the Blue.

Kaila giggles lightly at the Blue’s first reaction, and then blinks widely at the appearance of a new Bronze. She ohs softly, looking around, still, for a hand to cling to.

Shivara grins, "Another Bronze, this is quite a group of dragons." She sighs, watching the action with darting eyes, "He'll be a big one too."

Irikan's eyes widen at the appearance of the fiery Bronze. "Wow, what a difference in them all." He shakes his head, and then rotates attention between the Blue and Bronze, watching their movements carefully.

Fellowship Of The Eggs Egg rocks violently, sending it rolling into another egg.

Sareri gasps softly as she notices the newly hatched Bronze, " Oh, shards he is handsome. " Sari shuffles back and forth from the heat. her free hand wiping her brow.

A smile from the young healer candidate as she watches the others, inheiritantly all dragons are big compared to Brit of course but she is taller than most of the other female and even male candidates, her eyes drift to the Fellowship Egg again as it rocks violently, "It's so quick..."

Nikon bats Tadhc on the shoulder lightly, "You!! I like any of them...all of them!!" He grins, "Look...another Bronze!" He shakes his head at Tadhc, and then brushes his hair out of his eyes.

Daniyah makes an odd face as the Blue goes into a fit of sneezes and some of the egg gook on his muzzle comes flying off. She shudders. "Yuck!" she says softly. "Though, I have to say, Kiabell and Robanderanku have a wonderful set of children here." she grins as she glances over at the Golds, then to their golden eggs for a moment before looking back at the others.

Blazing Firestorm Bronze Hatchling attempts a regal bugle to announce his arrival, but it comes out more like a squeak. No matter, he briskly shakes the egg matter from his hide and begins to inspect the Candidates.

Egotistical Princely Royal-Blue Hatchling finishes his sneezing and warbles in distress, before taking his first few steps. Stopping in front a girl, he stares at her a long moment, then screeches and turns away. A small gallop takes him to a mixed group of boys and girls and he stops. Staring a long moment at the group, waiting for something.

Zelak grins as he watches the Bronze move toward the candidates, "I wonder where he'll go, and this is so fast." He sighs, trying to keep up with everything. He jumps at the sound of the squeak, "Hey, he sounds like me." Again his voice jumps between octaves, "Kind of."

Tadhc's eyes are drawn to the Bronze,” He looks /so/ neat!!" If he giggles slightly, as he manages,” I wonder who'll get him."

Rienna grins at the Bronze's attempt at a bugle, and wipes the sweat from her brow. Noticing the Blue's actions she starts giggling a little, still shuffling from the heat.

Irikan smiles at the regal...well, squeak. The Blue starts galloping and Irikan nudges Kendra. "Look out." He motions towards the Blue, while still trying to watch the bronze.

Kendra watches the Blue.........

Shivara grins and nods, "He does, but yours will stop, soon." She reassures, "It only lasts for a little while." Enough talk of voices, her eyes goes back to the sands in front of her, "Wonder where that Blue will go."

Sareri chuckles as she overhears Zelak’s comment, a big grin on her face. Sari looks around quickly between the two hatchings, wondering who will get which dragon.

Britney watches the blue carefully from one eye and then the bronze wondering whom they'll choose, her eyes glancing about the sands for which egg will hatch next.

Nikon grins, as he watches the active Blue, "He sure is fast and all." He giggles, "He has such dignity even when he's running about." He then looks at the Bronze, "He sounds like Zelak a little. Or like me...only I don't think I squeaked in a while. But this lot is quite vocal I think." He bats Tadhc on the shoulder again, "Or like ya will when yer voice changes!!"

Blazing Firestorm Bronze Hatchling's steps grow steadier as he moves and soon he's pacing back and forth in front of a row of male candidates, inspecting each one repeatedly.

Fellowship Of The Eggs Egg rocks some more. A crack splays across its surface. More movement, which produces more cracks. Finally *pop* and the shell shatters.

This hatchling is rather dull in color compared to his clutchmates. His back and wings are a rich dark brown, like that of a tree bark, with a couple of splotches of green here and there. His belly and legs are neutral brown with hints of bronze playing across his hide. If you actually /look/ at him you could swear he was made for hiding in the woods. White flakes of shell stick to his body with one falling as he moves. His movements are slow and deliberate, like a ranger sneaking around through trees and bushes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Britney watches the Bronze carefully as he paces in front of a group of males...crunch time... She glances over as a brown hatches...all the male hatchlings have been handsome so far. Brit looks to Daniyah, "I wonder if anymore Greens will hatch?"

Kendra oohs at the new Brown "He's a stealthy one."

Zelak watches the Bronze as he inspects the candidates, "He's looking for something." He comments, his voice still as squeaky as ever, "Oh, look, a Brown!" He lifts their hands to allow his finger to point, "He's a sneaky looking one."

Rienna watches the Bronze striding forth, gaining confidence, then switches her attention to the brown hatchling that just popped out. "He reminds me of trees. Stealthy too," she says thoughtfully.

Kaila's eyes dart in the direction of the newest Brown. She gives up trying to find a place for her hands and clenches them together. "Look at that..." She murmurs quietly.

Tadhc's eyes roll slightly,” I bet ye are looking forward to /that/ aren't ye Nikon. So you can be even close to me as far as singing?" His voice is teasing. His eyes never leave the Bronze,” Isn’t he the /best/?"

Shivara nods and chuckles slightly, "Nothing wrong with being careful, he has to find the right one and that may take some doing on his part." Her eyes drift over the hatchlings present on the sands and then to the unhatched eggs, "Wonder which will be next."

"Another Brown". Irikan's voice has clearly taken on an excited tone and, as he shifts his gaze from one hatchling to another, he appears somewhat comical. "Well, gentlemen..." he whispers, leaving the sentence hanging.

Daniyah looks between the Bronze and the Blue and the Brown. "Three male hatchlings. Where are the Greens?" she murmurs to Britney. "There have to be more than just that one in there!"

Britney glances as she sees Tadhc looking to the Bronze...maybe just maybe the Bronze would take interest in him. She smiles in amusement. He would suit Bronze though he's young...as Nikon and Zelak are. She glances to Daniyah with a laugh, "We're outnumbered by males here." She laughs as she shuffles her feet, lifting one up and puts it down and does the same with the other.

Sareri shifts her feet back and forth. tugging at Rienna. " Wow. another Brown. " Sari looks in amusement at Nikon and Zelak, laughing softly.

Egotistical Princely Royal-Blue Hatchling turns very slowly towards one boy and steps up to him. His head held high he croons softly, happily to him.

A familiar prickle graces your mind and a smell also recognizable enters your senses. You can't, however, quite put your tongue on what it is. Then you feel a sudden warmth against you and look down into the eyes of the Egotistical Princely Royal Blue Hatchling. For a moment nothing happens, then your eyes are drawn to his coloring and you see through the seeming plainness. You see a glittering wash of blues unimagined, then you hear it. << N'on? What are you looking at? N'on? I am Bequeaku and I am so very hungry. Feed me please? >> (N'on's Impression Message)

Britney watches as the Blue croons softly as he looks happily to a boy as he steps forward and she looks to try and find out which boy it was. Maybe just maybe it was one of her friends. "Daniyah, look the Blue's taken interest."

Change of Heart Egg wobbles suddenly and harshly from side to side.

N'on beams happily, "Oh...oh Bequeaku!! Oh...I'm looking only at you!! Yes...I'll get ya food. This way..."

Kendra cheers the new pair

Daniyah grins and cheers! "Way to go Nikon!" she jumps up a bit.

Britney glances as the Change of Heart wobbles and smiles as she sees Nikon, "Congrats...Nikon...N'on! Bequeaku!"

Shivara watches the Blue intently and waits for something to happen. Touch of heart's cracking is heard before she turns to N'on. "Oh...congratulations!" She calls, cheering the new pair.

Gwyndyn grins, as Nikon becomes N'on, the new rider of a blue.

Ronia just grins the brightest a teacher could, eyes alight and she lets out a breath. "Congrats N'on." she says softly.

M'att smiles congratulatory to N'on and leads him into the fledgling barracks.

Kaila smiles a small shy smile at newly impressed N'on.

N'on has left.

Tadhc claps N'on on the back,” Good job Nikon!" His eyes sparkle towards his friend/rival.

M'att has left.

Rienna grins as the Blue Impresses. "Congratulations Niko- N'on!!" she stares after them for a while, then turns her attention to the eggs again. "That's wonderful."

Irikan nods firmly at the impression. "Congrats N'on, Bequeaku." he calls politely.

Slow Stealthy Ranger Brown Hatchling stands behind one egg. Then another egg closer to the candidates. He looks about the candidates carefully. Sizing them up. He doesn't make any noise to speak of.

Zelak grins, "Congratulations Ni...N’on!" He calls out, his voice squeaking every word, "He's beautiful!"

Blazing Firestorm Bronze Hatchling finally pauses before the male of his choice who proudly announces his name and follows an AWFM into the barracks.

Change of Heart Egg shudders harshly again, wobbling back and forth.

D'lan claps, "He'll make a good rider."

Sareri says "Wow! Way to go Nio… ohh…I mean N'on!"

Britney glances as the Bronze impresses and watches one of her younger friends leave the sands with his Blue and grins, "I wonder whom the Brown will choose..." She glances around to the remaining candidates.

Bequeaku has left.

Sareri looks around just in time to notice the other Bronze impress. Sari's eyes catch a glimpse of the other Brown, watching it carefully.

Zelak grins and then turns to watch the brown making his way through the eggs, "What's he being so sneaky about, doesn't he know that we all see him?" He asks in a trembling voice that would be fit to make any egg crack, "He's good at not making noise, though."

Daniyah settles down a little bit finally. She watches the Brown now. Since he's the only one left out in the open. "He is definitely trying to be sneaky, isn't he?" she giggles. Shifting feet yet again. "Oh blast it! I wish my nerves would settle down."

Streaks of Light Egg begins to move very slowly. The movements are hardly noticeable. Just tremors, really.

Kendra smiles as N'on and Bequeaku as well as the Bronze and his bondmate leave the sands. She then turns back to watch the Brown...

Rienna smiles at Zelak’s comment, staring at the Brown. "Obviously he hasn't noticed yet," she says with amusement.

Tadhc sighs slightly as some kid he doesn't know moves to stand next to him. "Well, I hope all goes well for them." His eyes seem slightly sad for a second but it passes as he cheers up again.

Britney laughs at Daniyah's statement and squeezes her hand, "I know that feeling...goodness it's so hot." She looks to the Streaks Egg with quiet curiosity, her eyes watching carefully for movement in any of the other eggs...she's not going to miss one Impression not that she can help it if she misses one from distraction.

Kaila watches the nearest egg shake. She hops from foot to foot in the hopes that her shaking legs will be hidden.

Shivara nods, "I don't think he cares about that." She answers, watching the Brown slink through the eggs, "Maybe he wants to surprise the one he impresses to." Another guess. Her feet shift a bit more though the action is barely noticeable.

Slow Stealthy Ranger Brown Hatchling walks out from amongst the eggs. He slowly walks to the line of candidates. He stops in front of Daniyah sniffing her. Hmm. He continues on down the line. Giving each candidate a careful look.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~< Quick-Tempered Ghostly Brown Hatchling >~~~~~~~~~~~

As this hatchling makes his appearance unto this world, you might note that he is different from the others. Upon his hatching he is covered in thick egg slime that glistens upon his form. Beneath this, however, are what appear to be wrinkles to his hide. These wrinkles seem to spread across all his body and his massive frame gives a hint. He will be huge, likely the largest brown clutched in awhile. His head is held high and he trumpets disdainfully at his siblings. The coloring of his skin, however wrinkled, shows through as a dark tan. Yet laced through the dark and gloomy coloring of his hide are filigree networks of links in a lighter tan. These lines wraps about every joint, curling up to twine across his mammoth form. Even his wings are graced with these chain-like designs, yet here they turn to a feathery like filigree. Where tan was one link connected to link, it unravels into long, wispy and mist-like tendrils. They fan out across the main sails of his wings, giving them a more feathery look. The translucent membranes, however, still denote them as not being feathers.

Daniyah blinks as the Brown stops in front of her. She raises an eyebrow. "Apparently I'm good enough to stop and smell,” she giggles. Mock pouting she says. "But not good enough for him. Ah, well..." her voice trails off as she looks at the newest Brown that is deposited on the sands from it's shell. "Oh wow!" she peers at him. "Is he wrinkled?"

Irikan doesn't speak as the others do. He waits, eyes stalking the elusive brown until he starts down the line of candidates. The arrival of another Brown just brings a stunned shake from his head.

Britney 's eyes open wide as she sees a really interesting Brown hatch from the cracked egg and admires his coloring and patterns...a soft ooooh. "He does look wrinkled doesn't he?"

Rienna's attention shifts once again as a second Brown emerges from his egg. "Two Browns!" Hearing Daniyah's question she looks again and raises an eyebrow. "He /does/ look wrinkled."

Kendra nods "Looks wrinkled, but adds something to him."

Shivara smiles as another Brown is spilled from its shell, "Look at him...he's barely there at all." She sighs, "Well..." She falls silent again and disentangles her hand from Zelak's long enough to push a stray lock of hair from her face. Once retaken, the candidate's hand is given a light squeeze. "I knew it'd be exciting."

Kaila turns to the boy next to her and says excitedly, "Look at that..." She realizes she's speaking loudly and blushes before turning back to the sands.

Quick-Tempered Ghostly Brown Hatchling snarls unhappily as he pulls himself from his shell. Wings flutter and he snorts, looking around him. The Brown takes a few steps forward, then stops. Looking the candidate's over he screeches at them.

Sareri nods in agreement, trying not to giggle as she mumbles something about being in the water too long.

Streaks of Light Egg begins to show cracks, the crevices growing exponentially.

Britney hears the screech and jumps...one would swear she jumped at least half her height at that noise from the Brown, "Whoa! Did you hear that screech? That hurt the ears..." Brit winces as she looks to the Brown. "He's going to be a handful."

Kendra blinks "And a temper," she then looks towards the sneaky Brown hatchling.

Daniyah covers her ears at the screech. Yep. She definately heard it. "I feel for the one that gets that Brown!" she says off-handily.

Tadhc's eyes flicker of the Brown but don’t pay much attention to it. His eyes flicker back to the eggs.

Zelak grins and nods, looking up at the sound of the screeching Brown, "Another musical voice." He chuckles, shuffling from side to side as his feet lift from the ground one at a time, "A temper to match too."

Rienna winces as the Brown screeches, and claps her free hand over her ears. "That... oh, that was /loud/. /Loud/. Very loud," she says in surprise.

Sareri says, "Definately, Hope whoever gets him can control it!"

Irikan grimaces at the noise. "Ouch. That was loud." Icy eyes move from Brown to Brown as the guard turned candidate shifts from foot to foot. "Getting hot."

Slow Stealthy Ranger Brown Hatchling stops in front of a boy from SeaSide. A silent look up at him and then off again. His movements seem quite graceful for a hatchling actually. He wobbles over to the other group of boys, which brings him nose to leg with Zelak. *sniiiif* Moves to another boy. Hmmmmm.

Britney glances over to Zelak hearing his comment, "Well it could be like Nikon...N'on's singing." Britney smiles and laughs as she sees the stealthy Brown as he looks to Zelak and moves away from him...she smiles, "Guess he's really looking hard."

Quick-Tempered Ghostly Brown Hatchling snarls and stalks straight up to Britney, eyeing her and then Daniyah. He growls deep in his throat, then moves past them. A derisive snort is heard as he turns.

Zelak is sniffed. "That was..." He stops, watching the Brown move down the line. "I hope he chooses well...Oops." A chuckle is given and he just stands back and watches.

Kendra quirks her brow at the snort and watches as the two Browns look for their partners.

Streaks of Light Egg sways back and forth steadily until it rolls away from its spot on the sands.

Britney glances as the brown eyes her and Daniyah and lets out a deep growl...Britney jumps back suddenly as if frightened..."Whoa! Yeah I'd say he has a temper." The young healer candidate shakes as she looks to Daniyah, "You ok?"

Daniyah gasps, a hand coming to her chest. "Well, I'm sorry!" she looks as if she's just been put down. "What did we do to deserve that?" She looks at Britney and nods. "I'm fine. You?"

Irikan covers a small smile at the loud Brown's opinion. He notes the stealthy one's movements and watches with renewed interest where that one is going. "Choosy?"

Shivara arches an eyebrow, "Quite a temper, I'd say." She chuckles, "Bet he'll be a handful." Her hair is blown from her face with a puff of air, "Sharding ribbons..." Emerald eyes scan the scene once again, watching the Brown slink his way over the sands.

Tadhc tries to move away from the kid standing next to him who keeps knocking into his bruises causing him to wince. "Nasty temper."

Rienna looks at the Brown that's inspecting Britney and Daniyah, holding her breath as he heads her way. "He doesn't seem to satisfied with us, now does he." She shakes her head, and releases Sareri's hand for a moment to wipe her palm on her robe.

Britney nods to Daniyah, looking a bit pale but her color returns, "I guess...glad he didn't try to charge me or you...that was scary." Britney was actually scared. She squeezes Daniyah's hand.

Sareri takes the time to wipe her hand off as well, since it is most definately sweating. Sari's eyes follow the Brown...

Grass greens alight with sudden light as dark bluish grey shades hover over headknobs and trail down neckridges with a hidden foreboding message. All about this little one, there seems to be an air of expectation, of waiting for something that appears all of the sudden as dusky wings are lifted and eyes whirl with a tinge of yellow. A bright flash-fire of sparkling greenish gold and near-white lightening washes down minty green sides and spreads over the underside of emerald wings in a sudden storm of color. Underside is dark, yet untouched as the storm rages on down her lanky, slim body, only to be covered up again as wings are folded, an the air of expectation returns. Smoky greenish slate slides down her tail, showing only a vague memory of the storm hidden, though bright as her temper when things do not go her way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Slow Stealthy Ranger Brown Hatchling meanders to a tight group of boys, which happens to have a girl in the small circle. He gives a snort and continues on. His meandering brings him to Rienna. He looks up at her quietly for a long moment. Nope. He comes across Irikan and looks up at him. He lets out a croon.

The hatching is going by quickly, people impressing left and right. Yet the Slow Stealthy Ranger Brown Hatchling is still out there. He looks about, raising his head to give an unhappy trumpet. For once you feel your heart twinge and a shiver runs down your spine at the call. You feel your eyes close and when they open an instant later your eyes meet the brown's whirling yellow and green ones. Across your mind falls a shadow, everything else hazes out around you. It is only you and the hatchling now. Only you and the voice that suddenly says, << I am Argonku. >> a pause << R'kan? Stop staring and feed me! I am hungry! >> (R’kan’s Impression Message)

Kaila bites her lip at the sight of the angry Brown, but is distracted by the hatching of the green, "Ooooh..."

Britney looks to Daniyah as the Streaks Egg as it releases a green, "Hey Daniyah, she's not bad either. Ooo look that Brown is over at Irikan, what ya think?"

Rienna grabs Sari's hand again the instant the Green tumbles out. "She's almost evil looking, isn't she? I love her," she adds, with a grin.

Quick-Tempered Ghostly Brown Hatchling turns and looks at a young girl from Harbour Bay. Suddenly his snarl turns to a warble, then a most pitiful croon. "Oh! Oh Skrujell!" she says, kneeling to embrace the Brown happily.

R'kan smiles and nods, one hand going out to the Brown. "I'm sorry, Argonku! We'll eat now!"

Kendra smiles as the stealthy Brown chooses Irikan, she congratulates him, then her eyes are drawn to the newest Green.

Kendra says "Oops R'kan."

Kaleidoscope of Stars Egg suddenly shivers upon its raised mound.

R'kan has left.

Daniyah ooohs as another Green comes out. "Yes! Another green and she's beautiful! Look at her! She's definately a beauty." She tilts her head to one side, then to the other. A faint popping sound is heard as she does so. She looks over at Irikan. She nods. "Perhaps. Oh, make that a definately!" she lets loose of Britney's hand again, clapping for R'kan. "Congratz!" she calls over to him. "You know, he's just as quiet as his dragon is. That's a very good match!"

Rienna grins at Irikan, yelling out congratulations before turning her gaze back to the green. "Oh look! A gold egg is wobbling..."

Britney glances as she sees a shiver of one of the eggs...it's her favourite one. Brit smiles and looks to Daniyah. "It's moving...one of the my favorite eggs..."

Tadhc completely ignores Irikan's impression. Nope he didn't see the brown go to the guy he dislikes. Instead he simply watches the eggs.

Sareri calls out her congrats to R'kan, suddenly Sari looks up and notices that one of the gold eggs is moving, she gasps softly and watches the egg intensely. " Ohh, look! "

Argonku has left.

Zelak elbows Shivara, "Look, one of those eggs is moving." He tells her, keeping the squeaking to a minimum before searching out the other hatchlings with his eyes, "Wonder where..."

Kaleidoscope of Stars Egg slowly and methodically, almost calmly, sways from side to side. It works its way around in the depression.

Pure White Evil Looking Egg twirls in its spot.

Violent Flashstorm Green Hatchling slowly makes her way across the sands, still glistening with egg innards.

Britney watches her favourite egg as it slowly sways calmly working its way out of the depression it was situated in....keep breathing Brit....no time to stop breathing. Brit looks to

Daniyah as she looks to her nervously. "It's all happening...that's the one that seemed to like me..."

Daniyah gasps. "Ooooh!" she holds her belly. Shifting feet a bit more quickly now. "Oh, talk about another wave of nerves!" she mutters. She takes a deep breath, closing her eyes. She lets it out slowly and reopens her eyes, looking only slightly calmer for an instant or two. She nods to Britney's comment.

Shivara nods, "It is, but not..." Her eyes widen just a bit and she watches the egg work it's around from the depression in which it rests, "She's going to be a pretty one." Absinthe eyes dart to the pure white evil egg and she smiles, "And that one will be coming out soon."

Kaila's head turns this way and that attempting to keep up with all the activity. She begins rocking back and forth with a nervous energy.

D'lan chuckles as he watches on, "It's all so fast. Ahhh, the memories it all brings back."

Gwyndyn's head swivels as she turns this way and that, watching the entire goings on.

Rienna glances between the star egg and the Pure White Evil egg, trying to decide which one to concentrate on. "Ooooh, hatch already!"

Kaleidoscope of Stars Egg suddenly rocks forward and back in a jerking motion, sending it to lean on one side. Miniature striations appear across its surface. Small cracking sounds are heard as well.

Kendra watches as eggs and hatchlings move on the sands

Britney closes her eyes as she takes a deep breath...Brit looks near to fainting as she watches her nerves working double time now as she almost mambos on the sands her feet moving as quickly as her heart feels like it is. "Daniyah...it's cracking!" She looks as her favourite egg cracks and jerks..."Soon...soon."

Violent Flashstorm Green Hatchling trots across the sands as fast as she's able, inspecting mostly female candidates, although there's the occasional male. She comes to a small cluster of females and pauses.

Shivara grins, "Come on out." She tells the occupant of the egg in a soft voice, "I want to see both of them, just to see how different they are." Her gaze goes to the other eggs, checking them for signs of cracking before watching the Green move toward the girls.

Sareri takes a deep breath as she notices a cracking noise from the gold egg. Her eyes don't even stray from the egg at all, she doesn't notice anything else.

 Rienna look from the eggs at the Green with a smile spreading across her face. "Isn't she perfect?" she says to herself with a sigh.

 Zelak nods and watches the Green, his eyes curious, "She's gonna choose soon." He tells no one in particular, "I bet in a short time she'll be off the sands."

Kaila looks at the Green and murmurs, "Look at the color..." She gives a sheepish smile to the girl next to her.

Pure White Evil Looking Egg rolls on its axis sending it rolling down the mound.

Kendra smiles and nods "She's lovely"

Violent Flashstorm Green Hatchling stops in front of a young woman, fascinated by her red hair.

The Violent Flashstorm Green Hatchling walks by you without even a glance. Your heart sinks deep as she passes you over and you turn to watch the others. But just then a loud screech is heard, drawing your attention back to the green. She stands before you, wings held aloft and seeming to wait. She takes a step forward and trips, plunging nose first. Her unhappy creel rings straight to your heart, then she picks herself up and looks to your eyes. A shock runs through every nerve of your body, pleasant and almost...colourful. Then you realize you are different and just as you begin to wonder how you hear, << Shara? You can call me Khiraku that is what you’re wondering about isn't it? I hope I solved it, so you can feed me! I am awful hungry you know! >>  (Shara's Impression Message)

Daniyah grins as the Green starts inspecting mostly female candidates. "She is a beauty. That's for sure." She looks back over to the Kaleidoscope of Stars Egg. She watches it, glancing occasionally to the Green.

Britney wipes the sweat from her forehead; the Green forgotten in the nervous waiting of finally seeing the occupant of the Kaleidoscope of Stars Egg, in her eyes there's great anticipation and anxiousness... "Come on little one...you can do it." She doesn't really notice anything else.

Shara moves toward the Green and holds out her hands, "Yes, Khiraku, I'll get you some food, come..." Her gaze goes back to the others, "Her name is Khiraku!"

Kaleidoscope of Stars Egg cracks loudly and bits of shell fall away from the whole. Claws poke through those holes and the tip of a muzzle. Still the egg holds and the occupant withdraws back inside. The egg wiggles and will open up soon, that is sure.

Daniyah beams. "Congratz Shivara!"

Pure White Evil Looking Egg rolls some more and a hole appears.

Kendra smiles at Shivara "Grats."

Pure White Evil Looking Egg cracks wide open and out stumbles Angry and Angled Green Hatchling.

Menacing would be the first word for this hatchling. For as she steps from her shards she gives a mighty hiss, even swats at a nearby clutchmate. Then there she stands, motionless for a small time, while her hide dries a touch. Beyond the egg-goo one can see her hide is a torrent of greens. A raging storm of emeralds and jade that seem to fight and war at each other. All angles are this greenling, from her ridges to her wings. Sharp, pointy, fierce and fearsome. Her eyes are red and whirling quickly, her wings snap with impatience to dry. Then she moves out, her movements slow and careful.

Darkened gold the color of cracked sands sifts its arid hues across the supple hide of this sparely formed dragon, sweeping in startling, deadly swiftness down back, swirling o'er wings and 'long whipish, painful tail. Her bony frame seems to give off a visible sort of rippled heat, gleaming white at joints, darkened grains flecking hollows and curves. Wingsails speckled in pink quartz and amethyst display mirages of oceanic blue when spread, spars painfully sharp and angular against the transparent membrane. Legs are long, thin-jointed, brushed with sage and mesquite. Jewelled eyes gleam distant colors as they quietly observe and absorb surroundings, awaiting the dark flash of talon from her measured pounce. Silence... then the storm. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 Britney watches as the egg cracks and sees a claw..."Oh it's going to hatch shortly Daniyah...Ooo Congrats Shivara!"

 Sareri hears congratulations all around her and she looks over towards Shivara and cheers! " Congrats Shivara! "

 Kendra wows as Green and Gold break shell nearly at the same time.

Britney watches as the Gold hatches...she hears her heart beating quickly as she admires the beautiful Gold...oh her favourite one hatched such a beauty. "Oh Daniyah, look at her...isn't she wonderful?"

Yellow Exploding Suns Egg begins to shift position. Slowly at first, but then faster and faster.

Shivara has left.

Rienna is blinks as the two hatchlings tumble out almost at once, glancing between the Green and the Gold as if not knowing which one to concentrate on. "That Green... evil. I love it!" she laughs. "And that Gold is incredible..."

Daniyah's head snaps around as she hears the Pure White Evil egg crack open. She raises an eyebrow at the Green. "Oh my! She does not look happy!" and her eyes go wide, as she catches sight of the Gold out of the corner of her eye. A soft whistle. "Wow! Look at her, she's gorgeous! Someone is going to be very lucky. Her hide is..." she looks for a good word... "Indescribable!"

Angry and Angled Green Hatchling lets out a hiss as she looks around. She almost swats at the Golden hatchling and lets out another hiss. She stumbles forward purposefully to the candidates.

Sareri turns just in time to notice the Gold spill out onto the sands, gasping; her breath is caught in her throat. Sari has to constantly remind herself to breathe.

Khiraku has left.

Kaila doesn't even let her shyness stop her from calling out "Congrats!" She smiles at

Shara and then gives a surprised look towards the hissing Green.

Swirling Sandswept Gold Hatchling steps from her shell, head lifting skywards. Her bugle rings out sharply across the sands, then her head lowers and she looks upon the candidates. Those eyes are whirling red right now, but she moves calmly.

Kendra grins "Temper little one, soon all will be right with your world" she says as she looks at the Green.

Tadhc's eyes flicker from Green to Gold. "Interesting." He glares at the boy next to who managed to hit him yet /again/!

Britney doesn't notice the Green her focus on the beauty of the newest Gold and shifts her feet nervously as she looks and watches her move...oh red eyes...not good sign. Brit smiles as the Gold moves calmly.

Zelak smiles as his partner on the sands leads her new bondmate away, watching them go before looking down at her hand, "Guess I get to watch the rest alone." Well, not quite alone, he is with the others. His eyes go to the sands once again, watching the movement rather quietly now.

Rienna stares in awe of the Gold, still shooting glances at the Green. "She's the most beautiful... wow." She brushes some hair of her forehead and repeats the word of the day! "Wow."

Daniyah stands up a bit straighter, blinking. Shifting feet constantly. Nope, apparently two pairs of sandals tied together aren't doing the trick of keeping her feet cooler. She watches the Gold move calmly. "Look at how calm she is..."

Britney shifts her feet quietly in the sands, the sand in between her toes; she glances up to her mother with a smile. "She's so wonderful Daniyah." She looks to the Gold in admiration as she squeezes Daniyah's hand. "She's going to make a wonderful bondmate for someone."

Daniyah looks over at Robanderanku, then the little Gold again. "She definitely has her mother's beauty."

Angry and Angled Green Hatchling pushes her way past her clutchmates to reach a group of girls. She plows into a lass from Lucky Keep and looks into her eyes with a pitiful cry.

Swirling Sandswept Gold Hatchling carefully picks her way down the mound her egg was raised upon. Once at the bottom she looks at a gaggle of girls. Quietly, calmly, she makes her way to them. One girl reaches out to the Gold and is hissed and swiped at. The girl's lets out a screech, scratched minorly. The Goldling turns her gaze upon the other girls now, a low rumble in her throat.

Britney grins to Daniyah with a smile, "Well whatever happens, it happens. We will remain friends won't we?" She smiles to her partner as she moves her feet once more...friends. She glances to the Gold that she had talked about friendship with and smiles brightly. Ooo. "She's going to be very loyal and faithful I bet...she'll make a good companion and bondmate, I'm sure of it."

Kaila gives a wide-eyed look at the Gold and attempts to shuffle behind a tall boy beside her as a hiding spot.

Rienna watches all the happenings with wide eyes, switching between the Green and the Gold. "Ohhhhh! Do you think the green is Impressing?" she whispers to no one and everyone.

Yellow Exploding Suns Egg gives a violent shake and splits down the middle, the two sides falling apart.

Daniyah ergs. "Another good reason why not to reach for the hatchlings!" she mutters to Britney. She nods to the question. "Yes. We will always remain friends. We'll both be here no matter what."

Yellow Exploding Suns Egg cracks wide open and out stumbles Swirling Snowbound Blue Hatchling.

Kendra smiles "See I told you" she whispers towards the Green.

Baby blue silently lays beneath lighter flakes of blue which seem to speckle down this little blue's hide, piling up underbelly and turning that near-white. A rather silent little fellow, he looks about lazily, eyes whirling with a slow, quiet ease. Silent clarity huddles about him in an air of cold calm. Wingtips take on a dark shade, lightening as the sails stretch out between wingspars and small flakes dapple the delicate hide. Moving farther down, backridges that trail from headknobs to tailspade have the look of drifts of snow, bluish white against the dark sapphire of his back. The snowy blue which covers him so, patterning him with random patches of lighter blue settling down over darker blue, settles on the top of his muzzle, and trails up his legs in odd drifting patterns.

Hidden Landscapes Egg wobbles on its base.

"Oh he's a handsome one!" Kendra says as she looks around the sands.

Rienna looks at the Blue in surprise. "That wasn't what I was expecting from there... he's beautiful!" Then her attention is captured as the egg she favored most of all starts wobbling. "Yes... you can do it," she says happily, and then glances around with embarrassment.

Zelak watches everything around him with wide eyes, his feet shuffling on the uncomfortable sands and his forehead dripping with sweat, "Exciting…that's it." He manages, as he watches the action unfold, "He is beautiful."

Tadhc's eyes flicker onto the Blue. "Nice...." His voice is rather noncommittal.

Sareri doesn't even really notice the Blue that hatches out of the corner of her eye…She looks over at Rienna and smiles… squeezing her hand. Sari's gaze turns back to the rocking eggs and the Golden Gold walking along.

Swirling Snowbound Blue Hatchling stands tall as he gazes around him. He flicks his tail, flipping an egg shard away from himself. He steps forward and begins to survey his surroundings.

Swirling Sandswept Gold Hatchling takes another step forward, stopping by two girls huddled close together. Their whisperings peek her interest and the Gold shoves her face into Britney's. A subtle sniffing from the Gold, then she croons very, very softly.

The Swirling Sandswept Gold Hatchling makes her way across the Sands critically. She seems to draw your eyes to her, even though she may not be looking at you. As she comes to your cluster of candidates, she passes you by in order to inspect the other nearby females. But she soon returns to gaze into your eyes for a long moment. And at that moment, a whirlwind enters your body, mind, and soul, never to leave you again. << You are mine, Bria, >> comes a forceful voice. << I am Zephyll and you must feed me. >> (Bria’s Impression Message)

Kaila peers out from behind the boys she's hiding behind, "A Blue..." The boy is too busy watching the sands to notice he's now become a human shield.

Hidden Landscapes Egg wobbles on its base.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~< Playful Velvet and Silk Green Hatchling >~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Her hide is shiny upon leaving the safety of her shell. Egg bits cling to her glistening hide. Slowly they fall away to reveal the patterning that lies below, which is both complex and beautiful. As she moves across the sands, their heat drying both wings and hide, one can glimpse the wonder that she beholds. Even were she not dripping egg goo where she stands, the color she holds is bright and eye-catching. Glimmering like a many faceted gemstone in the bright sun. Yet, unlike a gem, that coloring is run through with tendrils and veins of a smoother and simpler sheen. Green is the theme here, but pale mint and dark forest make up the main colorings. The flickering gemstone, upon a closer look, reveals to be more like the finest of crushed velvets. For when she turns one way it is darker, and another it is lighter. This velvety sheen is that of the dark forest, hinting at hidden dreams and wonders. The simpler, smoother pattern that laces itself through the velvet is mintier. It's color changes not as she moves, but seems to blend in no matter the other colors' changes. Another note to this hatchling is she must be the smallest of the clutch, but by no means does that make her demure. She is loud, bugling often and urgently as she seeks her bondmate upon the sands. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Bria looks down as the small Golden Gold looks into her eyes. "Oh yes Zephyll, I am yours and I will feed you." Bria cries as she leans down to hold the small Gold, "Oh I love you so much."

Daniyah grins a bit as she and Britney are moved over to. She actually covers her mouth to stifle a laugh as the Gold shoves her face into Britney's. She grins widely. "Congrats Bria!" she says.

Eye Of The Beholder Egg moves in its little wallow.

Kendra smiles as the Gold chooses Bria, “Congrats” then her attention are caught by the newest Green.

Zelak grins as he watches the Gold, nodding, and “Thought so." He sighs, then turns to watch the newest Green emerge, "Ooh, look at her." He grins, watching, as the new pair is lead away, "Congratulations Bria!"

Ronia smiles slyly, stepping forward to Britney. "Bria...come along now. To the barracks." she says softly, eyes brimming with tears.

Tadhc looks at Bria, as she impresses, "See Bria, told ye that ye would get the Gold." His eyes sparkle merrily again. He really seems happy at the moment.

Rienna looks at Britney and the Gold, a smile slowly spreading across her face. "Awright Brit...." Bria! Congrats!" She grins, and then her attention is distracted by the new Green. "Oooh... perfectness has been achieved..."

Bria cries as she is so overwhelmed, "Yes Zephyll, we're going to get you food." She looks to Ronia as she heads towards her with the young Gold.

Zephyll has left.

Sareri feels a tear falling down her face as she watches Bria impress. She calls out " Congrats Bria!"

Ronia leads Bria and Gold Zephyll into the tunnel, then returns. She wipes a tear from her eyes and grins at D'lan and Gwyn.

Gwyndyn grins back at Ronia, beaming at the Impression.

Bria has left.

Playful Velvet and Silk Green Hatchling stands up and tosses her head back, then croons sweetly to her dam and sire.

Kaila smiles at the impression, "Wow..." She moves from behind her hiding place only a little bit as a much less angry green dragon hatches.

Daniyah looks suddenly as if she's been left out in the cold, even though there are other Candidates still around her. She watches Bria leave quietly. She sighs softly. "She's very lucky." She starts sidling over towards some of the others. She ends up next to Kaila and the boy who has become her shield. She pulls Kaila out from behind him. "Come stand up here with me. Please." she whispers to her.

D'lan sighs happily as he watches, "I always love hatchings. They're such a wonderful thing." He smiles at Ronia, "Now you have a better student."

Swirling Snowbound Blue Hatchling stops by a group of girls, peering curiously at Kendra. But after a moment, he moves on, stopping by some males.

Kendra sighs and watches the Blue move on.

Ronia chuckles and nods to D'lan. "A goldrider dragon healer...a good thing." she replies, and then turns to watch the sands.

D'lan smiles and nods, "A very good thing."

Zelak tilts his head and watches the Blue, his eyes locked on the hatchling's movements, "Now, what is he up to." His voice has gone to a whisper now, the squeaking barely heard.

Kaila glances over at Daniyah rather slowly but when she finally does, she smiles and suddenly grabs the girl's hand, "Thank you." She mentions softly.

Playful Velvet and Silk Green Hatchling takes her fest step hesitantly, but as soon as she sinks slightly in the sand, she croons happily. She takes a moment to dig at it, and then looks up at her dam. Another croon issues forth and she flutters her fast-drying wings.

Eye Of The Beholder Egg jumps on the mound which cracks the surface with it's landing. Another jump and it falls apart.

Bits and pieces form this brown's body, with no smoothing of colors to blend the various shade of brown together. His head is made of what appears to be a mahogany brown, with flecks of black sprinkled about. His tubular neck is made out of a 'sheet' of the darkest shade of burnt chocolate imaginable, the only interruption to that smooth hide coloration being two large, silvery dots located on either side of his neck at the bottom. The barrel chest of this dragon is a dusty golden brown - all of his limbs are a sandy grey, and quite wobbly at the moment. That wobbliness goes hand in hand with the rigid movements of this brown's translucent amber wings and his flick-flick-flicking sienna-hued tail. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rienna watches the Blue's progress across the sands, smiling at the Green's crooning. "Aren't they sweet?" she says to Sareri, shifting her gaze to the newly hatched Brown. "Look at him! He looks... hmm. Interesting!"

Tadhc gets pushed back so that he's now behind a pair of much taller boys. A slight mutter escaping his lips Something to the affect, 'Sharding dimglows' He tries to push his way back into a better position than behind /everyone/!

Kendra blinks at the coloration of the newest Brown, "Interesting"

Daniyah watches all the dragons quietly. She looks at Kaila. "It just didn't do to see you hiding behind that boy. You should be up here in front anyways, where you can see the gorgeous hatchlings anyways!"

Sareri 's breath catches in her throat, her eyes taking in the newly hatched Brown. As Sari catches her breath again. She replies. " He is gorgeous! "

Haphazardly-Made Brown Hatchling lets out a bugle, which seems to be in two octaves at once. He falls forward onto the sands and lets out another peculiar bugle. He manages to right himself and hobble step hops nearer the candidates.

Zelak grins, "He's handsome alright, now." His eyes try to follow all the hatchlings at once, "This is too much!"

Swirling Snowbound Blue Hatchling blinks suddenly as he loses sight on one he was inspecting. He presses forward and if others are wise, they'll move aside. He bugles as he regains sight of his chosen.

Swirling Snowbound Blue Hatchling inspects all candidates appraisingly as he makes his way among them. A cluster here, a cluster there, but none of them appropriate. But wait! What's this? He spots a small thin boy and pauses before him. And suddenly, everything becomes much clearer and moves alive to you as you hear a plaintive voice. << I am very hungry, Tad’c. I'm Taishall. Will you feed me? >> (Tad’c’s Impression Message)

Kaila keeps her eyes out on the sand as she nods, "They are but some of them seem so angry." She answers in a quiet, high-pitched voice to Daniyah.

Zelak jumps, "Wow..." His voice quivers near the upper ranges, "Where is that one." He swallows; let's try that again, "Where?"

Kendra keeps the corner of her eye peeled on the Blue, ready to move if need be....

Playful Velvet and Silk Green Hatchling starts across the sands now, picking her feet up in a happy fashion. She stops by one of the last eggs and nudges it, then continues on her way. Suddenly she finds herself before on lad and peers closely. Snorting she turns to the next, Zelak and gives a little warble of amusement. Then she turns once again and....there they are. The green moves forward, nudging at a boy who is in the way. When he doesn't move right away and she gives a leap past him. But falls painfully on her snout when she lands. Right by Daniyah and Kaila.

Tad’c smiles as he pushes to the lovely Blue,” His name is Taishall!" His voice is loud and clear as he manages to announce it in his young voice.

Milky Way Egg wiggles just slightly, but it's enough to push it out of place.

Daniyah says quietly. "Wouldn't you be too? After spending so much time out here on the sands?" She gasps as she looks down. The Green having landed at their feet. "Oh my. Are you okay?" she asks the little one. She doesn't move otherwise.

Ronia chuckles and moves forward, behind Tad’c. "Come now, let's get him food.” She says, leading him to the tunnel.

Rienna cheers at Tad’c Impresses. "Congratulations! Taishall... he's beautiful." She turns to watch the Green that just landed at Dani and Kaila's feet. "Oh, I hope she's okay."

Kaila grips Daniyah's hand all the more tighter, "And....there...there...there's a grin." She manages to let out as she looks down at the beautiful Green.

Kendra smiles at Tad’c "Grats!" then she mutters ouch as the Green buries her muzzle in the sand.

Tad’c smiles at Taishall, "Time to get you some food." With that he follows Ronia out.

Playful Velvet and Silk Green Hatchling carefully picks herself up, warbling plaintively at the pair of girls. She gives herself a little shake, and then perks up. Her croon is suddenly ecstatic and she nudges Kaila urgently. Enough force behind it to almost knock the girl over.

For a moment there is nothing but brilliant light that would almost blind you. It's a shock of warmth and welcome, eager and happy. As the light fades it would appear to leave a blaze of stars across your vision. Then you see her, the green with the velvet and Silk appearance. Her eyes are green, yet tinged with red and you suddenly know why. << Kai'a? I'm Aloraku and am so very hungry. Please feed me? >> (Kai'a’s Impression Message)

Zelak shakes his head, "I don't know where any of them are." His eyes look about the sands, and his voice cracks heavily, giving so many sounds at once that it would be hard to choose one. Tadhc is given a loud and squeaky, "Congratulations!" before he begins to look around again.

Sareri sends along her congrats behind Tad’c as he leaves. Her eyes not really moving from the Brown.

Haphazardly-Made Brown Hatchling hobbles over to the candidates with his wings held out high above the ground and away from his body. He heads straight for a lass near Kaila. The girl exclaims, "Yes! Food! Sure! Let's get you some Quilaroku!"

Kendra says "Grats."

Kaila stumbles backwards a bit before regaining herself, "A...a...Aloraku." Her face beams as she reaches out to the Green. "Oh yes I will feed you! I will!" She embraces the dragon and grins from ear to ear.

Rienna smiles at Kaila, with a mixture of happiness and sadness. "Congratulations Kaila... and Aloraku." She sighs, and tugs on her robe. "Oh well."

Ronia chuckles quietly and moves forward once more, this time to Kaila. "Come on, up and at 'em. There is meat in the barracks." she says.

Daniyah chuckles, shaking her head. "Ooh boy! Hmmm, maybe I should hire out my services the next hatching?" She says to the boy she's left standing with. "I mean, think about it, the last two people I was standing next to just Impressed. Perhaps I could charge a small fee,” she giggles.

Despair touches over sandy brown tinged green, leaving this scrawny dragon looking bleak and hopeless. Her bones almost seem to show right through her hide, sending odd ripples and angles running down her narrow sides. Her neck is thin, and leads up to a bony head and eyes which show eddies of soft, muted colors, and seem too large for her face. Her legs are lanky to the point of being too long, showing the muscle and bone beneath, and her tail is merely a whip colored the tannish green colors of prairie grass. Often she lies about, as if completely devoid of energy, and it seems she will always be a scrawny, awkward little thing.

Kaila blinks looking at Ronia for a moment before she comprehends. "Come on Aloraku. We'll get food." She walks along beside the Green.

Ronia smiles and leads Kaila to the tunnel, then returns to her post.

Desolate Drought-Struck Green Hatchling creels piteously as she emerges from her egg. She picks herself up and begins to move among the remaining candidates.

Rienna sighs again, but seems to brighten up a bit as the Green comes tumbling out. "Maybe she's not exactly beautiful... but still she has her own certain loveliness, right Sari?"

Sareri holds out her hand to Dani. She whispers. " Come over here Dani... "

Kaila has left.

Aloraku has left.

Kendra nods in agreement with Rienna though her comment was directed elsewhere

" Oh, yah... mmmhmmmm... "

Deep, frigid blue covers over shivering hide as this fellow peers about, eyes small yet quick as colors move through them. White tinges and touches along his nose, flaking into the deeper cobalt, which covers o'er the rest of him, little delicate patterns, which nearly sparkle when, touched by Sunlight’s rays. Delicate webs of frigid ice dapple over shoulders of deep-freezing blue and stretch up to dance upon perfectly matching wingsails. Each movement sending frigid trembling over his hide as he moves slowly, every motion carefully considered. His talons touch upon the encroaching frost, as do the tips if his wings and tail. His favourite past time? Lounging in the sun, though it never seems to melt his look of cold. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Daniyah moves over quickly to Sareri. She grasps her hand. "Thanks." she whispers back to her. Her free hand once again grabs at the side of her robe. "Only three more to go."

Touch of Gold Egg begins rocking frantically, almost as if crying out "Wait for me!"

Kendra ooohs at the frost Blue hatchling.

Daniyah eeps softly. "Look!" she points to the one of the last eggs. "It's moving too!"

Sareri nods and smiles. Sari looks back over at the remaining eggs and notices the blue hatch and the gold egg rocking frantically on the sands.

Rienna looks at the Blue in almost awe. "He's gorgeous! He looks almost... um... Icy!" She laughs, and looks between the two hatchlings.

Desolate Drought-Struck Green Hatchling doesn't take long to find one she likes. A boy, one of the youngest candidates, is her choice today. They quickly make their way to the barracks.

Frost Touched Blue Hatchling lets out a very soft screech as he looks out of his shell fragments. He jumps out from the remains quickly. His head turns from one candidate to another in a fast motion.

Touch of Gold Egg begins to roll across the sands a bit. There isn't much left to hold it in.

Zelak stands motionless and watching, his eyes darting over each egg and hatchling as he searches out another hand. "It's going to hatch..." He manages, looking around at the others.

Frost Touched Blue Hatchling looks back up at his sire and dam and then back at the candidates again. He walks so fast that he simply trips on his own feet. Not used to things yet it seems. He lets out a cry.

Sareri nods to Rienna... and notices the blue trip... she whispers softly... " Oooops, poor thing..."

Touch of Gold Egg seems to be trying to catch up with her clutch siblings, as she emerges from her shell almost frantically. She worries at the first crack that appears until it widens enough for her to burst from the shell.

This gold hatchling emerges from her shell calmly, a sheen of egg fluid glistening over her hide. She seems to be just a bit smaller than the average gold, although she is perfectly proportioned. When she stands still, one might be able to imagine that she is not living, merely a facsimile of a dragon, cast out of the purest gold. When her wings are outstretched, the veins are visible, forming a filigreed pattern in the translucent wingsails. The shade of her hide deepens in certain areas, casting shadows that accentuate her petiteness and enhance her beauty. She holds herself tall, as if trying to make up for her lack of height by sheer force of presence. Her eyes are alert, and almost greedy as they take in all the sights before her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kendra frowns slightly, "Ouch, careful there, we aren’t going anywhere."

Zelak watches the Blue and winces as he falls, "Oh...get up..." He tells it, his voice not breaking once, "You can do it...just move..."

Rienna giggles a little as the Blue trips, and lets out a plaintive cry. "How cute!" She jumps as the Gold hatches suddenly, and ohs. "Look at her!"

Daniyah whistles softly. "Oooh! Look at her! She's exceptional!" Daniyah exclaims a bit louder than intended. She blushes a bit when she realizes out loudly that came out.

Sareri says "Wow! Isn't she beautiful? No wait... that’s not the right word... " Sari thinks to herself a moment... " Exceptional! Yes, she sure is... your right Dani!"

Frost Touched Blue Hatchling rights himself. Going somewhere? I should hope not! I'm just a little hyper. I can't help that. He manages to get near the candidates and stops before Sareri before moving on.

Rienna smiles as the Blue stops in front of Sari, and squeezes her hand as it moves on. "Isn't he something?"

Stately Statuesque Gold Hatchling turns her head slowly from side to side as she surveys the candidates there for her to chose from. She pauses in front of Kiabell and Navarku and gives them an inquiring warble.

Kendra smiles at the Blue.

Kiabell croons encouragingly to her daughter.

Zelak bounces a bit where he stands, though whether from heat or his own energy is anyone's guess. His feet shift over the sands in a sort of comical dance, "Come on, you can move...there's someone out there for you." His voice cracks again, shards of sound moving through his words.

Sareri nods, her eyes watching the Blue as he moves on. Sari looks back up at the gold, wondering whom the lucky girl will be to get the Gold hatchling.

Frost Touched Blue Hatchling moves quickly on to explore the others. He stands in front of Zelak for a long moment sizing him up and then moves on. Which happens to bring him near Kendra and Rienna.

Rienna looks over at the Gold and smiles. "She seems to be almost solid sunlight... or something. Almost the exact opposite of that Blue," she says, looking between the two.

Navarku lets out a loud happy bugle for his daughter and looks at Kiabell, smug look on his muzzle.

Daniyah's eyes dart around between the hatchlings. She tries to watch them all at the same time, but it doesn't work. Her head looks as if she's watching something getting tossed around from place to place. Like a feather blowing in the wind almost. Though she does watch the other Gold the most.

Kendra nods and smiles watching the hatchlings such as she can.

D'lan chuckles, "Oh hush Nav. Though she is a cute little thing."

Kiabell warbles at Navarku.

Stately Statuesque Gold Hatchling turns away from her parents and begins to move through the remaining female candidates, pausing here and there, but not pausing for long. Apparently she knows exactly who she's looking for, it’s just a matter of finding her.

Daniyah says to Sareri, "She's so petite! She's definitely her dam and sire's daughter."

Rienna watches the Gold moving self-assuredly through the remaining candidates, and looks at the Blue, shooting him a little smile. "He's even more handsome close up!"

Sareri's eyes follow the Gold as she goes from girl to girl. Sari chuckles softly at Dani's statement. " True! Very true..."

Kendra grins and nods "Yes he is." she says as she looks at the blue hatchling.

Zelak grins as he watches the hatchlings move about and choose their bondmates, or take their time in choosing, "She's a beauty." He manages to get out between octaves, "That Blue is quite a sight too!"

Frost Touched Blue Hatchling darts his head between the two females. His head finally finds what it's been wanting. He looks up at Kendra with a quick fast whining for food.

As your eyes drift to the hatchlings still on the sands, you note the Frost Touched Blue Hatchling and his quest. Yet now he is near, very near and looking to the candidate next to you. After a moment he turns from them to look at you and you feel like lightning strikes your soul. For a moment you are numb, numb and cold throughout, then next warmth pervades your body. You feel your whole self change in one instant and then a soft, soothing voice says, << K’ndra? I am Ahirdiku, and we are one. >> (K’ndra’s Impression Message)

Rienna smiles over at Kendra sadly. "Congratulations Kendra," she says, keeping a tremor out of her voice. "He's beautiful."

K’ndra grins a silly grin and reaches down to Ahirdiku, "Yes my friend we'll get you some food. C'mon Ahirdiku."

Ronia moves forward with a smile. "Kendra, shall we?" she asks, gesturing to the tunnel.

Sareri smiles at K’ndra... " Congrats K’ndra!"

K’ndra grasps Rienna's arm quickly and follows Ronia.

Stately Statuesque Gold Hatchling rejects a group of girls and moves onto the next. And it seems she finds her bondmate there, in a lovely dark-haired young woman.

Stately Statuesque Gold Hatchling seems to bore into the souls of the candidates she inspects. She dismisses a group of girls with a snort before coming to the place where you stand with your friends. As she stares at you, you can almost see a flash of recognition in her hungrily whirling eyes. A bolt of lightening seems to pierce you and you see things in a whole new way as you hear, << I am Medeiroku and you are mine now. I will never leave you. >> (Daniyah’s Impression Message)

Ahirdiku has left.

Daniyah drops down to her knees, "And I will never leave you Medeiroku! I promise you that!"

Zelak smiles and calls out a "Congratulations!" to the new pairs and then stands still; almost, his feet dance over the sands, "Shells, this is hot."

D'lan smiles as he leans forward, "I wonder who the Gold will go after. There have been so many good candidates this time round. It always amazes me how they choose." His mouth goes wide in smiles and he claps, "Congrats Dani!"

Gwyndyn squeals like a child and claps her hands together as her sister Impresses the last of the clutches.

Ronia smiles and steps forward to Daniyah and smiles. "Come along Daniyah. She'll be hungry." she says, then glances at Gwyn and nods. Following Dani all the way into the tunnel.

Daniyah grins at Gwyn and D'lan. She beams up to her father and mother and sister in the galleries.

Sareri looks down at the Gold as she picks Dani. Sari whispers softly..." Congrats Dani..."

Navarku bugles happily and starts moving off the sands, but not before rubbing his head against Kiabell's.

Rienna smiles a little, and nods. "Congrats Dani."

Ronia says "Daniyah, come along."

Daniyah starts following Ronia.

D'lan sighs as he looks down at the now empty sands, "Is it me or does it always seem to fly by?"
